Place of work: «Institute of Metallurgy and Ore Benefication» JSC under «The Kazakh national research technical University after K.I. Satpaev» NPJSC
Position: Leading Researcher.
Academic degree: Candidate of Technical Sciences.
Academic title: Associate professor.
Scientific achievements: He is engaged in research in the field of processing technogenic (man-made/industrial) raw materials.
In 2017, under his scientific supervision, the Program titled “Scientific and Technological Support for the Construction of an Alumina Plant in the Kostanay Region of the Republic of Kazakhstan Based on Bayer-Hydrogarnet Technology for Processing Iron-Rich Koktal Bauxites” was successfully completed.
Between 2015 and 2017, on the premises of the Pilot Experimental Metallurgical Facility of the Institute, a production site was established and a unique pilot unit was created—unparalleled in the CIS. Trials of the Bayer-hydrogarnet technology were conducted under conditions close to industrial scale. Experimental product samples were obtained, including: alumina, micronized aluminum hydroxide, hydrogarnet sludge, pig iron, and construction bricks. A Technological Regulation and a Techno-Economic Assessment were issued for the construction of an alumina plant in the Kostanay Region of Kazakhstan. These documents are necessary for the preparation of an Investment Project for building a new alumina plant based on Bayer-hydrogarnet technology with a processing capacity of 1 million tons per year.
He is the author of over 150 scientific works, including 1 monograph and more than 50 Author’s Certificates of the USSR, as well as patents and innovation patents of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He participated in solving key issues under the project “Determination of the concentration of rare and rare-earth metals at the processing stages of JSC TNK ‘Kazchrome’ and development of methods for processing industrial by-products.” He has scientific and technical experience in developing technologies for processing non-ferrous and rare metals, electrochemical extraction of non-ferrous metals, and has been involved in the implementation of new technologies and equipment.
