-Development of technological schemes of extraction of rare elements of the industrial products and wastes of metallurgical and chemical industry;
-Development of technology for mineral fillers and stabilizers from industrial products and wastes of chemical and metallurgical industries;
-Process development of electrochemical processing of technogenic raw materials, production of pure metals and nanostructured alloys based on rare metals by membrane electrolysis method.

-The technology of extracting rhenium from underground leaching solutions of uranium ores of Kazakhstan;
-The technology of extracting rhenium from wastewater of copper production;
-The technology of rhenium, nickel and cobalt recycling from a waste of heat-resistant nickel superalloys;
-The technology of complex processing of lead dust and sludge of copper production with obtaining compounds tribasic lead sulfate, ferrous metal salts, ammonium perrhenate, concentrate of radiogenic osmium-187 and silver;
-The technology for producing high-purity metal rhenium;
-The technology for producing electrolytic coatings based rhenium-tungsten alloys.
-The technology of complex processing of phosphoric industry slags to obtain a precipitated silica and mineral fillers.
-Was organized the production of rhenium products from industrial products of lead production at the Shymkent lead plant;
-The technology of rhenium production from solutions of underground leaching of uranium ore was introduced at the mining and metallurgical combine in the city Navoi;
-Electrodialysis method for obtaining ammonium perrhenate introduced at the Shymkent lead plant, mining and metallurgical combine in the city Navoi, RSE “Zhezkazgan-Redmet”;
-The technology of radiogenic osmium-187 was introduced at the RSE “Gezkazganredmet”;
-The improved technology of production of ammonium perrhenate from wash sulfuric acid of copper production introduced at RSE “Gezkazganredmet”.
The collective of laboratory of rare scattered elements consists 11 people, including 3 doctors of technical sciences (including 1 Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan), 3 candidates of technical sciences, 1 PhD, 1 master.
