An environmentally safe, reagent-free, vacuum-distillation technology for the production of branded selenium from non-conforming selenium-containing materials was developed. Interest in such technology is shown by such large companies as Krastsvetmet OJSC (Russia) and Kazzinc LLP.

A sorption technology for extracting rhenium from wastewater of the Balkhash Copper Smelting Plant (BMZ) has been developed. Pilot tests of the BMZ technology have been carried out, the technological regulations have been developed, the material balance and the calculation of the unit cost of commodity products have been compiled, and recommendations have been made for implementation. The organization of the extraction of rhenium from waste copper production will significantly increase the production of ammonium perrhenate, increase the complexity of the use of mineral raw materials.

A technology has been developed for extracting the osmium-187 isotope from the waste water of the RSE Zhezkazganredmet. Technology tests have been carried out, the Technological regulation has been developed. The technology will organically fit into the existing copper production and, with low capital and operating costs, provides an increase in the production of expensive metal - the osmium-187 isotope.

The technology of contractile pyrometallurgical selection (ATP process) of resistant and double persistence of primary gold ores with concentration of gold and other metals into mattes, bypassing the process of their enrichment, has been developed. The ATP-process allows to increase the extraction of gold by 20-30% compared with the performance of existing enterprises.

An innovative, high-ecological, resource- and energy-saving Bayer-garnet processing technology for ferrous bauxite has been developed, which ensures high technological and economic indicators. When technology is implemented in industry, the following will be ensured: a reduction in the capital intensity of the plant construction by 25%, a reduction in the consumption of chemical reagents by 60%, a reduction in energy consumption for output by 30%, a decrease in emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere by 50%.

A new equipment has been developed for the periodic and continuous production of cast aluminum matrix composites with antifriction fillers: graphite, molybdenum disilicide, molybdenum disulfide. Pilot plants of periodic action were tested, new aluminum-matrix composite materials were obtained and tested. The developed equipment allows to obtain competitive alumomatrix composite materials due to high efficiency, cost effectiveness and manufacturability.

A technology has been developed for extracting rhenium from uranium sorption filtrates using anion exchange resin and reagents used in the main uranium production technology. The technology has been tested at the Stepnoye Mine (the Uvanas deposit) of NAC Kazatomprom JSC. The technology without significant capital expenditures will fit into the existing production of natural uranium concentrate and ensure the production of highly profitable rhenium products.

Vacuum technology and equipment of a continuous principle of action have been developed, which, in comparison with the used methods of processing mercury-containing raw materials in vacuum in batch devices, can significantly increase the recovery of mercury and sharply reduce its mechanical losses and emissions to the environment. The technology is reagent-free, and its implementation in a continuously operating equipment can significantly reduce the overhead cost of thermal energy.
