Visit of the AGH Delegation (Poland) to JSC “Institute of Metallurgy and Ore Beneficiation”
On September 8, 2025, a delegation of scientists from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków (Poland) visited JSC “Institute of Metallurgy and Ore Beneficiation.” The purpose of the visit was to establish and strengthen scientific cooperation, as well as to discuss prospects for joint projects in the fields of engineering, materials science, information technologies, and metallurgy. The delegation included the following scholars:
- Prof. Dr. hab. Eng. Agnieszka Kopia (thin film deposition technologies, nanomaterials, tribology),
- Dr. hab. Eng. Łukasz Rauc (applied informatics, industrial process modeling),
- Dr. hab. Eng. Krzysztof Muszka (thermomechanical treatment of metals, physical materials science),
- Dr. hab. Eng. Monika Pernach (optimization of industrial processes, digital manufacturing),
- Dr. hab. Eng. Piotr Migas (extractive metallurgy, waste processing, green metallurgy).
The visit was coordinated by Prof. Jacek Cieslik, responsible for AGH’s cooperation with universities in Central Asia. A working meeting was held during which Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Head of the Laboratory of Rare Scattered Elements, Dametken Edilovna Fisher, delivered a presentation on behalf of JSC “Institute of Metallurgy and Ore Beneficiation.” She presented the institute’s scientific developments and outlined key areas for potential collaboration with AGH. The Polish scholars delivered presentations on their research projects and highlighted opportunities for cooperation within both academic and applied research. The discussions also addressed prospects for developing partnerships in priority areas of engineering and technology, as well as possible participation in joint educational programs, internships, and scientific publications.
