May 2021 marks the 70th anniversary of the birth of Nesipbay Kuandykovich Tusupbayev, Head of the Laboratory of Flotation Reagents and Beneficiation of the Institute of Metallurgy and Beneficiation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

N. K. Tusupbayev\nis one of the best representatives of Russian science. For more than 45 years,\nhe has been engaged in research and development in the field of chemical\ntechnologies and mineral processing, has a high professional erudition and\norganizational skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1975, he\ngraduated from the Chemical Faculty of the S. M. Kirov Kazakh State University\n(now Al-Farabi Kazakh National University) with a degree in Colloidal\nChemistry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1984, at the\nMoscow Institute of Fine Chemical Technology named after M. V. Lomonosov, he\ndefended his PhD thesis on “Stability of hydrodispersions in the presence\nof synthetic polyelectrolytes and ionic surfactants” in the specialty\n02.00.11 Colloidal and membrane chemistry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was actively\nengaged in the Olympiad training of schoolchildren for a number of years (from\n1980 to 2002) in chemistry, including international level, lectured to students\nof the Institute for Advanced Training of Teachers for 20 years. For\nachievements in the field of teaching in 1993, N. K. Tusupbayev was awarded the\nbadge “Excellent Participant of Public Education of the Republic of\nKazakhstan”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2004, N. K.\nTusupbayev has been working as the head of the Laboratory for the synthesis of\nFlotation Reagents at the Institute of Metallurgy and Beneficiation of the\nMinistry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Currently, he\nheads the laboratory of flotation reagents and beneficiation of the Institute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tusupbayev N. K.,\nhaving a wide range of knowledge, deep erudition in the field of physical and\ncolloidal chemistry, petrol chemistry, chemical technology and flotation beneficiation\nof minerals, developed new research areas of the laboratory of flotation\nreagents and Beneficiation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, under\nthe leadership of N. K. Tusupbaev, the search for selective reagents is being\ncarried out on the basis of deep theoretical studies of the mechanisms of their\ninteraction with minerals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The technology of\nselective separation of collective copper-lead concentrate with the use of\niron-containing material has been developed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The use of the\ndeveloped new nanoscale activator ofsphalerite-copper oxyhydroxideduring the\nzinc flotation of the ore of the Artemyevsky deposit provided an increase in\nthe zinc content in the zinc concentrate by 10-12 %.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The design of the\nflotation agent molecule, which has both foaming and collecting properties, has\nbeen developed, which allows to increase the extraction of copper into the\ncollective copper-lead concentrate by 5 %, and the extraction of lead by 9 %.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The use of new\nsynthesized Aeroflots in the processing of gold-bearing ores of Tishinsky\nprovided an increase in gold recovery by 3-5 % and an improvement in the\nquality of gold-containing concentrates, while reducing the consumption of the\nfoamer by 50 %.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He developed and\ntested the following scientific developments on a pilot scale:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– technology of\nthickening and filtration of enrichment products at the Kentau processing plant\n(Shalkiya-zink LLP);<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– technology of\noxidation of divalent iron using a paramagnetic catalyst for the\nintensification of underground leaching of uranium ores (Semizbay-U LLP); <\/p>\n\n\n\n

– technology of\nflotation enrichment of difficult-to-enrich polymetallic and gold-containing\nores by using a water-air microemulsion generator (WAMEG), which allows for\nmore complete extraction of fine-dispersed sludge valuable minerals. The\ndeveloped WAMEG can be easily placed in any flotation line of the column,\nmechanical or pneumomechanical type without significant capital expenditures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2010, N. K.\nTusupbayev successfully got his doctoral dissertation “Physico-chemical\nbases for the creation and application of new reagents for the intensification\nof flotation of sulfide polymetallic ores”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under his heading,\n5 PhD theses were peppered in the specialty 02.00.11-Colloidal chemistry and\nphysico-chemical mechanics and 5 PhD theses in the specialty 25.00.13-Mineral processing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tusupbaev N. K.\npublished more than 300 scientific papers, including articles<\/p>\n\n\n\n

in rating foreign\njournals, 3 monographs, 1 textbook, 6 supporting textbooks, 8 methodological\ndevelopments, 1 copyright certificate of the USSR, 25 patents of the Republic\nof Kazakhstan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

N. K. Tusupbayev\nactively continues teaching at the KazNTU named after K. I. Satpayev in the\nspecialty “Mineral processing”. He is the head of several PhD now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TusupbayevNesipbayKuandykovich\nfor active research work and training of highly qualified personnel was awarded\nhonorary certificates of JSC NNTH “Parasat” and the Committee of\nScience of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.\nIn 2013, he was awarded the State Scientific Award for Scientists and\nSpecialists who have made an outstanding contribution to the development of\nscience and technology. In 2014, he was awarded the badge “For merit to\nthe development of Science in the Republic of Kazakhstan”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

High scientific\nqualifications, deep erudition, intelligence, responsibility and patriotism,\nattention and care for the training of young scientific personnel earned\nTusupbayevNesipbayKuandykovich great authority and respect of the scientific\ncommunity of the republic and abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We wish\nNesipbayKuandykovich good health, happiness, creative inspiration and new\nremarkable successes for the benefit of the development of science in Republic\nof Kazakhstan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
