Meeting dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of metallurgist, doctor of technical sciences, professor, and academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Ni Leonid Pavlovich
On April 7, 2023, a meeting was held at the Institute of Metallurgy and Ore Beneficiation JSC (JSC IMOB) dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of metallurgist, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Ni Leonid Pavlovich.
The meeting of the Academic Council was attended by: son Alexander Leonidovich Ni; President of the Korean Association of Scientists and Engineers of Kazakhstan “Kahak” Grigory Alekseevich Moon; Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Association of Koreans of Kazakhstan Ivan Timofeevich Pak; Vice-Rector for Corporate Development of Satbayev University Yerzhan Itemenovich Kuldeev.
General Director of JSC “IMOB” B.K. Kenzhaliyev introduced the audience to the biography of Leonid Pavlovich Ni, who worked in the field of alumina metallurgy, while he emphasized that Leonid Pavlovich was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, the Order of the Badge of Honor and was an Honored Scientist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Laureate of the State Prize of the USSR.
Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kozhakhmetov S.M. and Ph.D. Kovzalenko V.A shared his memories about Ni Leonid Pavlovich.
The meeting of the Academic Council of the Institute ended with a speech by Alexander Ni. He thanked the leadership of IMOB JSC for organizing the event dedicated to the centenary of his father, and the speakers for warm memories.
