{"id":3340,"date":"2019-03-07T13:29:48","date_gmt":"2019-03-07T13:29:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/35.228.131.44\/laboratory-of-titanium-and-rare-refractory-metals\/"},"modified":"2025-01-28T09:49:39","modified_gmt":"2025-01-28T09:49:39","slug":"laboratory-of-titanium-and-rare-refractory-metals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/imio.kz\/en\/laboratory-of-titanium-and-rare-refractory-metals\/","title":{"rendered":"Laboratory of titanium and rare refractory metals"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"themecolor\">Main achievements:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>A smelting furnace for ilmenite concentrates producing high-titanium slags was commissioned at the Ust-Kamenogorsk Titanium-Magnesium Plant;<\/li>\n<li>An extraction technology for obtaining pure vanadium pentoxide from industrial products was implemented at the Ust-Kamenogorsk Titanium-Magnesium Plant;<\/li>\n<li>A technology for purifying titanium tetrachloride from metal-chloride impurities was implemented at the Ust-Kamenogorsk Titanium-Magnesium Plant;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4 class=\"themecolor\">Basic research directions:\n<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Physico-chemical studies of chloride and metallic systems containing titanium, magnesium, niobium, tantalum, and scandium for their deep extraction from ilmenite concentrates;<\/li>\n<li>Development and implementation of technologies for producing titanium, molybdenum, and tungsten, yielding high-quality commercial products;<\/li>\n<li>Synthesis of inorganic sorbents and development of technologies for extracting lithium from ore and hydromineral raw materials;<\/li>\n<li>Development of technologies for extracting rare earth elements from various types of mineral and technogenic raw materials;<\/li>\n<li>Development of technologies for processing titanomagnetite concentrates.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4 class=\"themecolor\">Scientific and technical developments offered to implementation:\n<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Improvement of the smelting process for ilmenite concentrates using calcium- and manganese-containing fluxes and alternative reducers;<\/li>\n<li>Technology for comprehensive processing of phosphate mineral fertilizer production waste to obtain rare earth element concentrates, sodium sulfate, calcium hydroxide, and ammonium nitrate;<\/li>\n<li>Technology for processing titanium-magnesium production waste to obtain synthetic carnallite and a product enriched in niobium and titanium;<\/li>\n<li>Technology for the comprehensive processing of titanomagnetite concentrate from the Masalsk deposit to obtain commercial products such as iron-containing alloy, vanadium- and titanium-containing slags. A business plan is attached;<\/li>\n<li>Low-waste combined technology for processing high-chromium ilmenite concentrates.
