Abstract In work results of laboratory researches of influence of microbubbles on process of floatation enrichment of gold-bearing ore of the Vasilkovsky field are presented. Content of gold in ore was 2.2 g/t. It is established that introduction to a pulp at a stage of control flotation even of a small amount of microbubbles which size doesn’t exceed 50 microns leads to essential increase in extraction of gold. The generator of water-air microemulsion was used in the control flotation, at the basic consumption of reagents, the generator allows to increase gold recovery by 3.72%, the quality of the concentrate is reduced by 0.99 g/t. The gold content in the tailings is reduced from 0.41 g/t to 0.31 g/t. With an increased consumption of reagents, the generator allows to increase gold recovery by 4.69%, the quality of concentrate is reduced by 1.68 g/t. The gold content in the tailings is reduced from 0.41 g/t to 0.27 g/t.

Title THE RESEARCH OF GRAVITATIONAL AND MAGNETIC ENRICHMENT OF STALE TAILINGS OF MANGANESE WITH THE DETERMINATION OF THE POSSIBILITY OF THEIR PROCESSING

Annotation The paper presents the results of the study of gravitational and magnetic enrichment of stale manganese tailings to determine the possibility of their processing using the process of jigging and magnetic separation. Based on the research results, worked out  benefication schemes were using the following processes: jigging and enrichment on the concentration table; jigging and magnetic separation; magnetic separation. These schemes provide manganese concentrates with a manganese content of at least 38 %. The results showed that the highest technological parameters of enrichment of stale manganese tailings are obtained according to the scheme using only the process of magnetic separation of class 3 – 0.071 mm. An alternative technology scheme includes gravitational-magnetic enrichment processes.

Title RATIONALE FOR THE SELECTION OF MINERAL ACID AND DISTRIBUTION OF IMPURITIES IN THE PROCESS OF THE OPENING OF PHOSPHORIC SLAG

Abstract Thermodynamic calculations of Gibbs energies for the reactions of the interaction of phosphorus slag components with mineral acids: sulfuric, phosphoric, hydrochloric and nitric. The reactions are thermodynamically favorable and practically irreversible. An exception is the interaction of Fe2O3 with hydrochloric acid. As the temperature rises from 60 to 100 °C, the degree of dissociation of water molecules increases, which causes hydrolysis, and thus affects the results of hydrochloric acid treatment. As the leaching agent, nitric acid is recommended, which contributes to the transfer of calcium into the solution by 35 %, Al2O3 ~ 0.1 % and iron ~ 7.5 %, and ΣREMs by 0.34 %. The influence of nitric acid HNO3 the concentration of from 2.0 to 5.0 mol/dm3 on the leaching of calcium, aluminum, iron and ΣREMs was studied. The optimal of concentration HNO3 3.5 mol/dm3 was chosen. At the same time, extraction of ΣREMs in a cake is ~ 99 %. Calcium passes into the filtrate by 36-37 %, aluminum by 0.1% and iron by ~ 7 %.

Abstract As a result of the conducted studies and based on the analysis of the technology of extraction of rare-earth elements (REE) in the form of a concentrate from technogenic mineral formations (TMP) from processing of phosphate uranium ores, it was established that coprecipitation of rare-earth elements with impurity exceeds 30 % at the stage of preparation of productive solutions for concentrate precipitation. A comprehensive study of the processes of precipitation of impurity elements in the pH range from 1.7 to 4.0 showed that the phosphates of rare-earth elements and iron begin to form even at pH 1.6 1.7, iron sulphates of complex composition are formed under the same conditions, sulfates of rare earth elements and sodium sulfates, including, in the form of tenardite and mirabelite.

Abstract In connection with the reduction in the reserves of rich ores to date, an urgent task is to search for new technologies for processing off-balance poor ores, dead tailings and other technogenic wastes of gold recovery factories. This report describes the research carried out to extract gold from a mixed sample of the stale tailings of the Maikai concentrator, during which the optimal flotation enrichment regime was selected, followed by leaching of flotation concentrates. In the process of leaching gold from flotation concentrates, variants of preliminary biochemical oxidation were also tested. As a result, it was revealed that. the best indicator of gold extraction is 67.8%. is achieved by preliminary oxidation of flotation concentrates with calcium hypochlorite.

Abstract In this paper, we present the results of laboratory studies on the intensification of copper leaching from sub-standard ores of the oxidized zone of the Baiskoe deposit. The average copper content ranges from 0.43 to 0.53 %. Percolation leaching with a solution of 15 g/dm3 of a concentration of two samples simulating the ore size for heap leaching and leaching in dumps was carried out. The essence of this method is as follows, the raffinate obtained after extraction of copper provides an aqueous sulfuric solution containing ions of impurity elements. Exposure to microwave irradiation can change the properties of the raffinate. The method of processing substandard copper-containing ores allows the degree of copper recovery to increase to 68.4 % within 120 days of leaching

Abstract Studies of the hydrochemical processing of ferruginous sands in a high-modulus alkaline solution with the addition of CaO with the separation of iron-containing cake for the production of pig iron and pigments were carried out. The recovery of Al2O3 in the solution was 50.2 % at a molar ratio in the CaO: SiO2 = 1. The black pigment fraction with a particle size of 0.21 microns was isolated, in an amount of 40 % of the weight of the cake. Optimum conditions for leaching of ferruginous fines calcined at 600 °C in a high-modulus alkaline solution is the ratio in the CaO / SiO2 = 2 pulp. The recovery of Al2O3 in the solution was 58.2 %. A red – brown pigment fraction is isolated in an amount of 54.0 % of the cake mass with a particle size of 0.17 μ.

Abstract A method has been developed for processing red mud using the smelting reduction method to produce cast iron and slag. The method is based on the preliminary treatment of red mud in a high modulus alkaline solution at a temperature of 240 – 260 оС and the addition of calcium oxide to the pulp from the calculation of a modified red mud, the main compound of which is the ferrous garnet – 3CaO ∙ Fe2O3 ∙ 2SiO2 ∙ 2H2O. The cast iron and non-magnetic slag fraction were obtained by the smelting reduction method. As a result of hydrometallurgical slag processing, a REE concentrate containing Σ.x. RZE – 17.74 and a titanium dioxide concentrate containing 59.82 % TiO2 was obtained.

Abstract Physicochemical analysis of ferruginous sand’s composition has been carried out. The mentioned sands, which are technogenic wastes of Pavlodar Aluminum Plant, are constantly being accumulated there to considerable amount and pollute the environment. Acquired information allowed to developtechnologies for obtaining the following demanded products: iron oxide pigments and cast iron. Optimal conditions for heat treatment and leaching of ferruginous sands were determined to produce finely dispersed black and red-brown colorpigments. The extraction of alumina from ferruginous sand amounted to 58%. As a result of hydrochemical and thermal treatments cast able cast iron is produced from iron oxide hydrogarnate sludge. The results of this research work can be used at Pavlodar Aluminum Plant for ferruginous sands processing technology creating and for cast iron and pigments producing.

Abstract The article compares classical and modern high-quality and wear-resistant steels for mining equipment. For the manufacture of mining equipment should be used steel with special properties: high-strength, wear and corrosion-resistant, which is achieved by a certain chemical composition. One of such widely used wear-resistant materials was manganese austenitic steel 110G13L. However, the production of steel 110G13L compared with modern steel type Hardox represents a large cost. Modern steel type Hardox is characterized by low cost and higher processability in operation with comparable properties. The article highlights the urgency of development and development of technology in Kazakhstan for smelting new types of wear-resistant steels.
